Without even realizing it, I was once limited to thinking I needed to be on the “Leadership Team” to make any real impact in my company. My goal was to get there as fast as I could.
But I found I couldn't get there fast. "The system" isn't set up for diverse professionals, like me. I tried leadership classes, networking, speaking up... all the things you're supposed to do. And I still felt stuck.
Quite by accident... I stumbled upon an idea. An idea I had a whole lot of passion behind. And through lots of trial and error over 5 years it took me to “make it real” – I learned that anyone, at any level, could lead and make a big difference.
